Phillippe’s on 1001 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA After a long day of being an extra on Maroon 5’s music video shoot, and dancing my ass off, this French dipped sandwich hit the spot, and hit it hard. Seems to be a popular pre- or post- Dodger game meal, but while I am not a huge baseball fan, I am a big fan of what goes on at this little place. Thinly shaved roast beef and American cheese squished between crusty, doughy bread, and doused with a lovely au jus. Add the horseradish-hinted hot mustard, and take a bite of heaven. If I were a sandwich… this would be it. Get it with the 75cent lemonade. (You might need two.) Perfection.
