Banana Cupcakes, Angel’s House

My friend Angel made these from a Martha Stewart recipe (which you can find here). It’s as if banana bread made a smooth transition into the cupcake world. Commenters on the website seem to complain that theirs turned out flavorless, icing was too sweet etc. and I did not find that to be the case at all. Perhaps it was the chef and her magic touch, but mine was perfect. I was expecting a banana muffin in a cheap disguise, and was pleasantly surprised (I believe my exact words were “holy bananagasm!”). It was perfectly desserty and light and not at all reminiscent of a breakfast pastry. And I mean that in a good way.
